Denver Actors Fund supports local actor and former Colorado Theatre Guild board member through two health scares
About Seth Palmer Harris: Seth is a Denver actor currently appearing in Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s “The Odyssey” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” He has appeared on stages up and down the Front Range from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins. He has recently appeared in Su Teatro’s True West Award-winning “Northside” and Second City’s “Twist Your Dickens” at the Aurora Fox. Seth also has volunteered his time to the boards of Vintage Theatre Productions and the Colorado Theatre Guild. He grew up in the plains of northern Minnesota and is an alumnus of the University of Denver.
His medical story: Over the course of just a few weeks, Seth needed to make two unrelated visits to urgent care, both of which thankfully ruled out potentially serious diagnoses through (expensive) CT scans and medication.
How we have helped: The Denver Actors Fund’s Board of Directors has voted to pay the full $942.26 that represented Seth’s out-of-pocket responsibility for these two incidences. Combined with help from the DEAR and KINDNESS funds, The Denver Actors Fund has now provided Seth with $1,902.26 in overall assistance.
‘I AM INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO THE DENVER ACTORS FUND, AND TO THE COMMUNITY THAT SUPPORTS IT’
A message from Seth: “I am incredibly grateful to the Denver Actors Fund, and to the community that supports it, for its help in a time of need. It’s a wonderful reminder that community and collaboration, the bedrocks of our art form, are as alive off the stage as on.”
How you can help us help us help more Colorado theatre artists: The Denver Actors Fund has sent out more than $144,000 in artist assistance in 2021 alone. But because of the ongoing difficulty raising funds during a pandemic, we have brought in less than half of that back in from donations. If you would like to make a donation to help The Denver Actors Fund replenish, simply mail checks in any amount made out to Denver Actors Fund to P.O. Box 11182, Denver, CO 80211. Or use this donation link, with our humble thanks.
